Bismillah Rahmanir Rahim
I have built this website to dispel the rumor that the Niqab (Face Veil) is not required of the Muslimah to wear, when in fact it is an obigatory duty on her as a true believing woman. I first began my Islamic journey searching the Web and looking for answers with regards to Niqab. For those who say, "Niqab is not recommended, and this is wrong. Regular Hijab is enough." Then I think of when the Prophet (s.a.w.) forbid women to cover the face with a veil during Hajj and during Salat. He never told the believing women to disregard the Niqab any other time. If the women were doing anything wrong, wouldnt the Prophet (s.a.w.) have been the first to correct these women?
We all know that the face is where the seat of beauty lies. This idea is discussed in a book entitled, Hijaab written by Sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh bin Uthalmeen. He says, ".... the compulsion of covering the face will be to a greater extent, because the face is the centre of beauty and temptaion. Thus we find that when people search for a beautiful person, they ask only regarding the face. If the face is beautiful, they dont attach so much importance to the rest of the body. Thus if becomes apparent that the face is truly the place of beauty whether it concerns questioning about beauty or giving information."
Insha allah, I will prove that Niqab is Wajib (obligatory). I have collected
several links to very good sites on Niqab, Masha' allah, they explain their
evidences from the Qur'an and Sunnah (ways of the Prophet s.a.w.). Many scholars
have been debating about this for many years. Some people claim they have definitive
proof that the Niqab is not necessary, however, the proof is there. Some will
always have an excuse for something they dont wish to do and no matter how much
Qur'an and Sunnah you show them, they will continue to be blind and deaf to
it. Yes, I do agree that we, as Musimahs should research this subject and find
out as much as we can about Niqab. I researched both sides of the issue, from
those in favor of Niqab to those not in favor of it's practice. I came to one
conclusion, what if this is Wajib and b/c of the other sisters telling me it
is wrong and it is not from Islam when Allah has ordained it and then I dont
practice it, then this action will be against me on my day of judgement and
none of those people who were against can help me and speak for me. I would
rather fear Allah(swt) than the people.
